Accessibility Statement

CODE — Center for Obesity, Diabetes, and Endocrinology wants everyone to be able to use codewtx.com, including people who use assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

• Pages use headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers and keyboard users can find their way.
• Every feature, including the appointment request form, works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and controls meet WCAG AA colour-contrast levels, and the site works when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
• Images have text alternatives, and form errors are described in text, not by colour alone.
• The site is available in English and Spanish, and each language is marked so assistive technology reads it correctly.
• The site has no time limits, auto-playing media, or flashing content.

Known limitations

• Our online new-patient forms are provided on a separate platform (care.brainymed.com) that this statement does not cover.
• The Spanish versions of the Notice of Privacy Practices, the Good Faith Estimate notice, the website privacy policy and this statement are being reviewed. Until then these pages show the English text, with a note in Spanish on how to get help in Spanish by phone.
